Hi! I'm in my third and final year of Santa Clara University's Counseling Psychology program, and I'm excited to join the BACA Oakland team as a trainee. I'm looking forward to learning as much as possible from the excellent clinicians at BACA and practicing skills that will see me through the rest of my career.

I was raised in the East Bay, moved to Los Angeles for undergrad, and then joined the Peace Corps directly after that. While I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life, I did know that I wanted to truly experience living in a completely different culture - so Peace Corps fit the bill! I lived and served in Senegal, West Africa from 2011 - 2013 as a Health and Education Volunteer.

On my return to the Bay Area (which I will never again take for granted!), I found a job in a large tech company in San Francisco. A couple months into it, I realized that I would need to work towards a more fulfilling and person-oriented career in order to be satisfied. It took me a while to land on counseling as the right option, but now that I have, I can see why it interests me so much. While majoring in Anthropology at UCLA, I was always most interested in why humans act and think the way they do, and how we can use that information to lead happier and fuller lives. Growing up in a family that has been very open about mental illness and extremely supportive has been a huge blessing as well.

I'm happiest in nature, spending time with loved ones, eating a really good scone, working out, and daydreaming about my future dog.
