In Progress at Santa Clara University
University of San Francisco
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of San Francisco (USF) in 2012, I spent several years working for a medical staffing company in various administrative and accounting positions. However, a desire to make a more positive impact and work directly with people led me to transition to nonprofit work. I found the work incredibly fulfilling and subsequently spent four months in Germany volunteering at a social services agency that provides aid to refugee communities, particularly from Syria and Iraq. Upon my return to the United States, I enrolled in the Counseling Psychology program at Santa Clara University. I am in my final year of the program and am excited to join BACA as a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee.
My primary clinical interests focus on working with populations struggling with trauma and PTSD, especially teens and young adults. In the meantime I am looking forward to working alongside the passionate doctors and clinicians at BACA and learning how to collaboratively provide quality mental health care. I spend my off-time going on long runs the in the Baylands, hiking, and swimming.
