In Progress at Santa Clara University
San Jose State University
I am currently a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and graduate student in Santa Clara University’s Masters in Counseling Psychology Program. I received a Bachelor of Art degree in psychology from San Jose State University.
Following my undergraduate studies I volunteered with a local San Jose community agency providing crisis management for individuals experiencing concerning thoughts around death and dying. This experience helped develop a stronger ability to focus, and respond with non-judgmental empathy.
My clinical interests are in working with youth and their families, youth experiencing difficulties with mood, and with parents wanting to gain useful skills in supporting their child through these challenges. I enjoy working in group settings and believe that we grow through relationships with others. My passion for group work grew through my experience co-leading process therapy groups for Santa Clara graduate students. I am excited to be a part of the BACA team.
